President
Jennie Barchet CPS/CAP (member, Flower City Chapter)

Jennie will be celebrating her 28th anniversary with Bausch & Lomb this year. Jennie provides administrative support to R. Ann Vu, John D. Boselli, and K. Rao Gurijala, PhD, in the Global Quality department. She joined IAAP in 1999 and has attended Northeast District Conventions, New York State Division annual meetings, International Conventions, Certification Seminars, and Professional Education Seminars.

On the chapter level, Jennie has been Membership/Certification Chair, Arrangements Co-Chair, Member of the Year Chair, APW Chair, Nominations Chair, and Ways and Means Co-Chair. Jennie served as Board member, Vice President and two terms as chapter President.

Jennie is a vocalist and currently sings as a soloist in her church choir, sung the National Anthem at a Rochester Americans hockey game, 2006 NYSD annual meeting and several Town of Greece community events. Jennie enjoys traveling - especially cruises, flower gardening, needlework, reading and word puzzles. She says that at the very first meeting she attended she knew that the Flower City Chapter of IAAP was home. Since then it has brought her out of her shell and has been a catalyst to get her out of her comfort zone. Through IAAP she has developed her self-confidence and has become a proactive agent of change.

Jennie has been happily married to her husband Gary for 35 years and they have two cats - Shadow and Max. Although never blessed with children of their own, they have enjoyed their five nephews and two nieces and currently spoil their grandnieces Jenna and Azara and grandnephew Zachary.
 

Vice President
Diana L. Wetmore (member, Elmira-Corning Chapter)

Diana has been a member of IAAP since September 1994. She has been active in her chapter and on the division level during her membership. Starting as Program Chair in 1995, she served as Newsletter Chair in 1996 and 1997 and received the chapter’s Secretary of the Year designation. Diana has served as Audit Committee Chair, Committee on Nominations Chair, has served on the Scholarship Committee and was Secretary, President-Elect, Vice President, and four terms as President. On the division level, she sat on the Newsletter Committee and was Chairman the following year. As Seminar Chair for the Northeast District Conference in 2000 in Corning she was able to bring an internationally known speaker and two dynamic local speakers to the consciousness of 180 attendees.

As church secretary for the Penn Yan United Methodist Church, her duties are varied and range from producing the weekly bulletins and monthly newsletters, finding transportation for parishioners, to co-chairing their annual bazaar. She also serves as a mentor to at-risk middle school girls in a knitting program through Yates County ProAction. She has been employed there part-time since January 2007. Previously Diana was the administrative assistant to Vincent R. Valicenti, President and CEO of Valicenti Advisory Services, Inc. in Elmira where she was employed for 14 years. Her background includes financial projections, vault holdings, and new accounts. Previous employment provided experience in billing, accounts receivable, ordering wholesale plumbing parts, retail, and office equipment dealer sales.

Diana was widowed in 2005 and married her second husband Steve at the International convention in Reno in 2006, with 26 New York State Division members attending. She has four children, three stepdaughters, and seven step grandchildren ages 2 to 14. Her interests include reading, knitting, sewing, cross-stitch, crocheting, baking, mystery and comedy TV, and spending time with her husband and 14-year-old daughter.


Secretary
Angela A. Grabowski CPS/CAP (Division Member-At-Large)

Angela has been a member of IAAP since May 1983 and is currently a New York State Division Member-at-Large.  She earned her CPS rating in 1986 and her CAP rating in 2001; she recertified both ratings in 2006.

For the New York State Division, Angela served as President, Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, and Treasurer, earning her symbol of retirement as a Division officer, a silver rocking chair charm, in 2002.  She has come out of retirement to serve as Secretary for the 2010-2011 year.  Through the years, she has served as a member or chairman of many division committees, including Annual Meeting, Bylaws and Standing Rules, Chapter Development, Nominations, and Public and World Affairs. 


Angela originally joined IAAP as a member of the Capital District Chapter, where she served as Treasurer and President.  In addition, she served as a member or chairman of many of the chapter’s committees, including Audit, Bylaws and Standing Rules, Education and Program, Nominations, Publicity, Social, and Ways and Means.  She was recognized as the chapter Secretary of the Year in 1992.


Angela is employed as the Confidential Assistant to the Director of the SPAN (Statewide Peer Assistance for Nurses) Program of the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA).  She has been with SPAN since June, 2009.  For nearly 20 years, she has worked in the healthcare field, holding administrative assistant positions to senior-level administrators at several hospitals.  Before working in healthcare, she was employed by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schenectady County and Coopers & Lybrand. 



Treasurer
Jennifer L. Louth CAP (member, Buffalo Chapter)

Jennifer joined the association through the Buffalo Chapter in 1998 and has chaired various committees during her tenure such as Ways and Means, APW Brunch and Seminar, Community Service and served on the host committee for the NYSD Annual Meeting in Buffalo in 2007. A graduate of the Toastmasters Speechcraft course in 2004, Jennifer stepped into further leadership roles as chapter Treasurer from 2003-2006 (3-year term) and chapter President from 2006-2008 (2-year term). She most recently concluded her duties as Parliamentarian and Editor of the chapter’s award winning newsletter The Buffalo Banner. She was certified in 2002, recertified in 2006, 2008, and June 2010 as well as achieved the Member of Excellence status for 2009-2010. Jennifer was named the Outstanding Member of the Year for 2008.

Having been employed in various clerical roles by M&T Bank since 1988, she is currently a Senior Secretary III providing support to Thomas Hayes, Group Vice President of Consumer Card Products and John Leardon, Administrative Vice President of Project Services & System Support, and their teams located throughout the M&T footprint. Jennifer works yearly as her division’s liaison for many of the corporation’s community service programs such as the United Way campaign, Buffalo News Kids Day, the Olmstead Park’s Gala and Rockin’ at the Knox events.


Jennifer resides in her single-family home in Cheektowaga, New York with her 4-legged son, Brady the cat.  In her spare time she likes to read, workout, travel and scrapbook. She also enjoys spoiling her two young nieces, Kennedy Elizabeth and Adelyn Grace.
